this world

This past week, I started getting my next book ready for self-publication. A Song of Glass: Dreams, Stories, and Poems will debut in late August or early September. As I’ve mentioned before, this book will be a little different since it includes a couple short-stories and poems where I experiment with language or with poetry based on dreams. If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, have no fear. This volume also has a healthy dose of narrative poems, traditional poems, and light verse.

Below is a short poem called “this world”, which will appear in A Song of Glass.

this world

this world is a stone
spinning around and around,
never more than halfway
in the light
