A Wandering Minstrel features Teague McKamey’s poetry. Teague enjoys wandering through all sorts of inner landscapes: emotional, spiritual, and intellectual. Along the way, he pauses to capture these vistas using traditional and non-traditional forms.
The name for this site was inspired by medieval entertainers who traveled from place to place performing songs and poetry.
In elementary school, Teague played a wandering minstrel in his school’s production of The Mikado, but he doesn’t like to talk about it.
When not wandering, Teague finds his home in Washington state, where he lives with his wife, two children, and two cats.
Teague has self-published three books, The Wind and the Shadows (2020), Event Horizon (2022), and Shadow and Memory (2023). In 2023, Teague self-published his first chapbook, The State of Mercury.
